How to take care of damaged hair??? please help!!!!?

I'm only 12 and I have really damaged hair. I have frizzy , thick , wavy/curly hair that never seems to be able to stay straight. I straighten my hair about 5 days a week with a curlmaster ceramic flatiron. I wash my hair with avalon organics shampoo and yes to tomatoes hair conditioner but I still get spit ends. My split ends are about half a inch long and there is more than one split end on most of the hair shafts. I don't use heat protectant because it made my hair all stiff and smelly. I get hair cuts about 3 times a year and I usally ask for a inch off every time. Please help me on how to get my hair frizz free and split end free????
