I'm looking for the name of a 70's horror film (i have slight description)?

This married couple buy a house. The fireplaces were boarded up and they didn't know why so they opened them all up and after awhile they started hearing voices coming from them. Eventually the wife gets captured by them and changed into whatever "they" were.
