Sounds like he was either trying to hard to be funny or flirtatious, more likely the first. Jokes like the ones he made can either work very nicely or very poorly. Sounds like he went a little too far with it, but don't think he meant to be disrespectful. Sounds a bit like a tool or d-bag though to be honest.
