What have Australian Aboriginals ever contributed to Australian Society?

Why does the Government provide so much for them, when they constantly under-achieve, waste resources, have drug & alcohol addictions, fill our Prison systems, back log Court systems & run up National debt on welfare cheques? What do they actually contribute? As a whole what has this Indigenous race ever done to make a contribution?
