Why does my dog hide his rawhide bone?

Dogs do that becuse there terrotorial and because he probably just wants to save it for later or wants to make sure no one else can have it. It's not really a puupy thing. And going to my first sentence he might just be weird and quirky. My dogs quirky, she has to do a square on this mat before going upstairs and if she tries to go up the stairs without doin gthe square she stops half-way then goes and does the square. All dogs have little quirks i think your dogs quirk is very cute. And my dog has never done that. (and if she did she probably would never find it again :)
